tubal reversal or IVF?
October 04, 2008
I'm a 31 yr old with 3 children, had my tubes tied in 2003. Now divorced my fiance wants another child (he has 1 biological) What would be the best choice for me... I'm healthy and had no problems getting pregnant before my tubal but cost is definitely an issue. How much would IVF cost also?
Not trying anymore..I just had my little guy in May, he's five months old now. It was my third baby but 5th pregnancy. I'm in my 2nd marriage and have two kids from my 1st one. My dh now wanted a child of his own, so we had little Cameron :) I'm sort of regretting having mine done though. And they asked me over and over and over are you sure, really sure??? I kept saying heck ya, three's enough, but now, I don't know...
Congrats on your little cutie! sounds kinda like my situation... My fiance has only 1 from a previous and i have 4 from a previous marriage. He'd like 1 more because he thinks he's getting too old (he's only 32). When i had my tubes tied I never expected to get divorced and with someone who'd want more children. After your journey what do you suggest?

If you desire more than one child, reversal is good, you're young enough also...
Much also depends how you were sterilized...if by laparoscopy with cautery, then tubal reversal is not a good option..
For all other reasons, IVF can always be performed with a high likelihood of success given tubal factor
