Tubal Reversal

September 18, 2008

I had a tubal reversal in Oct. 2006. I was told each tube was only 1cm in length after surgery, and pregnancy would be very difficultHowever, after 2 months of trying, I was pregnant and in October 2007 had a healthy baby girl. On Sept 2008 I found out I was pregnant again, but at 5 weeks, I have misscarried. I am wondering if it was just luck that I had a healthy baby after the reversal, am I suseptible to misscarriage with such short tubal lengths.

Short tubes would not play a role in miscarrages, they would, however, play a role in ectopic pregnancies

I had heard that the reason the short tube may play a role in miscarriage is because teh egg come through so fast and does not implant or growenough during tubal travel. Is this incorrect than?
