TTC with ovarian cysts. Please Help.

I have been ttc for about six months. I'm 28 years old. Several years
ago my OB/GYN did an ultrasound on me because I was having abdominal pain and she
said I have ovairan cysts. She put me on the pill and said it was no big deal. A
few years later I moved and went to another doctor and she said the same thing, not
to worry all women get them. Now I have been off the pill since Jan because I want
a baby, but these cysts are causing pain. The only time I really feel the pain is
after I ovulate. The pain lasts for about four or five days off and on. I seem to
feel it most at night while I'm sleeping. The pain is not unbearable but very
uncomfortable. Then I come on my period a few days after that and the pain goes
away until next month. I'm using the CBE fertility monitor and it has been
detecting a LH surge exactly on CD 11 and CD12. My periods are very regular (25
days +/-1), no spotting in between cycles, and my periods don't seem to be that bad.
I'm concerned about the cysts and wondering if they would be causing me any
problems with getting prego. Should I stick it out for another 6 months or go see a
doctor now? Is there any meds I can take to ease the pain?

You appear to be having ovulatory pain which like you said, usually resolves on it's own. You're doing everything right, detecting when your surges occur and hopefully having intercourse that night. If you have been doing this for the past 6 months, it is not unreasonable to simply get a fertility work-up at least to make sure things are Ok.
For the pain, avoid aspirin or ibuprofen type of products as large doses of these can prohibit ovulation and proper embryo implantation. Tylenol and related products are Ok.
