ttc question

What do you think? I want one more baby. I am in my late thirties.Had two healthy births, but in the last three years, three m/c? In between that I was on two b/c pills..one was progestin oriented, the other ortho-tryclclene. Only on for four moths and they didn't agree with me. I was trying to control pain from suspect endo. My uteru is tipped, too. My 14 week m/c included nightsweats and hormone-type symptoms before heartbeat stopped. Two others were early.. 6 and 7 weeks. Started bleeding. Should I take progesterone? Try clomid? I only get pregnant without protection like once a year. Could it even be my husband? He smokes and doesn't eat fruits and veggies! He is in his early 40's. I won't go into IVF I have two healthy kids, just seeking non-invasive tips or advice. Could b/c have thrown off my hormones? It was 4 years ago, and the first m/c followed 6 months after getting off them. My periods are regular and timely (29-30 days)and my OPK shows positive at 15 days. I do get nightsweats a couple days before I start. Only other things are alot of clotting. Any suggestions?

Hi Lisa,

It may not be truly unreasonable for you not to do IVF, since you don't seem to truly have a problem getting pregnant. You may benefit, like you said, from pills and or injectable medications however. Since you are in your late 30's, most miscarriages are now due to fetal chromosomal abnormalities, unfortuntely usually associated with maternal age.

This, however, doesn't mean that this is it...and a recurrent miscarriage work-up is warranted in your case to check both you and your husband to address any problems if present. Ask your doc to get you this work-up, and can read about many people in this site with similar situations
