I have been off the pill for 6 months, my periods have been regular, 31 days, however, until this month my periods have been dark brown. This month very red, is this a sign of my periods getting back to normal? They have been very short, only lasting two days. I have been to the doctors and have had a number of blood test, my doctor has now referred me to a Gynaecolgist because my hormone levels have come back low. Could this all be down to the pill. I feel quite concerened. Many thanks

Your periods have been normal all along as the bleeding consistency and character may vary. Your hormone levels (I'm assuming FSH values) can be lowered by stress, is not permanent and can be helped. I think you're going to be Ok and keep us posted
