Thankyou doctor for being so kind and understanding I forgot to mention that I was using a contraceptive implant for three years and had it removed at the begining of july I have been having periods normally and every month since will this affect how long it may take for me to become pregnant Thankyou for the information you have already given me and for taking the time to read my question will keep you posted Kay :)

Unfortunately, Good Ol' Progesterone is present post-ovulation and during pregnancy, and this is the primary hormone that causes all the symptoms...so unfortunately, there isn't a "sign" that tells you you are truly pregnant. The best way to find out is through an hpt which first starts turning positive 12dpo.

Many women get cysts all the time, once you get your period, it should hopefully be gone. We can tell from your blood work if your cyst is interfering with the results, by the Estradiol level you wind up getting. We're keeping our fingers crossed and...

Hello again doctor I'm 10 days past ovulation now and I'm feeling slightly nevous/excited I've been reather emoitonal the past few days and felt a bit sick yesterday and today (but wasnt phisically sick) my breasts feel slightly tender (but not sore) and I feel a bit fatigued and have experienced slight cramping for about three days now. Do you think I may be confusing these symptoms with my period being due on friday I would like to test but no it's probably to early to tell. I feel different in myself like I may be pregnant but I'm unsure if I'm just reading to much into what I mite be feeling like if i was pregnant none of the symptoms I have written about are very servere but I am just aware of them what do you think? I really hope I am pregnant I'm sure I have done everthing right.I would really appriciate your opinion Thankyou

Hang in there Kayley, you may be pregnant, and you can always check with a blood test today. Otherwise, we'll wait at least two more days and let us know how it goes...

hello again doctor I'm so disapointed i got my period this morning very heavy and no mistaking it I have really heavy cramps and feel awful I wasnt expecting it to come this early so this must mean I have a 28 day cycle will have to try agian this month I thought I'd done every thing right is there anything else I can try and do this month to increase my chances i've been told that taking folic acid may help any suggestions would be appreiciated thankyou

I've picked myself back up from my ugly period and am ready to try again do you think if I have intercourse every other day this month I will concieve? I have read on the internet that if you stay lying down for 30mins after intercourse this helps or is this just a load of rubbish? the cyst on my left ovary is still present and has grown 4cm I am worried as it it is on the one ovary i have left, after having my right ovary removed in the operation. should I be concerned or asking for assistance from my g.p to help me concieve I dont know what to do I feel like my fertility is slipping away from me and there's nothing i can do as the cyst may be slowly damaging my ovary as the previous one did and the surgeon removed it I am scared the same thing will happen a second time round and I will have no ovaries and will never be able to have children I really need some advice as my doctor does not explain things properly and it gets me frustrated that I dont understand fully what is going on with my own body and what will happen to me in the near future please help Thanks again Kayley

I have purchased some opk's and did my first test today came back neg as i should be ovulating round about 29th sept-4th Aug i think! And was wondering if the cyst will interfere with the results of the opk's?Also should I be testing at the same time every day?

Hi Kayley,

If you're cyst is active, then it can interfere with you ovulating this month. If not, then you should ovulate. Hang in there, and keep on checking

sorry i usually say the 2nd urine of the day is best time to check opk

it's ok doctor I know what it means now when it is producing hormones which mine isn't so would mean mine is inactive so I should ovulate normally is this correct Thankyou for your time
