Dear Dr.
I am 37 year old and married 1.5 year back.We are trying to conceive .I am having pcos and my hus was also having low sperm count for which from last 3 months he was on clomid50 now his sperm count improved frm 10 million to 80 million.For my pcos i am taking glucophage1000 twice a day, i have gone through all precrised test and found negative.Last month my gyn put me on clomid50 3-7 day and checked follice sizw was 13mm and 9.5mm as per her recommandation I did IUI put unfortunately not got success and i got my period this month. Should I take clomid this month also pls advice .Pl help us .Thnx

Trying Clomid upto 2-3 times with this semen analyis is Ok...People with PCOS taking Clomid have 22% chance of having a live birth with 6 attempts, but in your case, attempting these many attempts may not be wise because of age
Injectable gonadotropins with IUI can also be attempted upto 3attemps...
But always a good idea like angel states to think about IVF as it will give the best chances

Today i went to see my doc, as i did my first IUI in the month of july but result was negative .
Today for this cycle she gave me clomid 50 twice from Day3 to day7 and also she asked me to take Progyuton (white only) from Day 8 to Day 12 .Would like to know what is the benfit of taking progyuton.
She asked me to come on day13 also she is planning for an IUI this month.
Also if possible pl do let me know what would be the reason of geeting IUI negative which I done last time.
When i did IUI in the july my DH report was
pre wash-actively motile-50,sperm count 78m
Post wash -actively motile-90,sperm count 13.

also for your age you might want to look into a more aggressive more which would be Injectable Gonadotropins with IUI....and even IVF+ICIS....
