Hello my name is AJ and I am new to Fertility ties. I heard from a friend that this site is very helpful so here I am. Me and my fiance have been trying to get pregnant for a year and about 4 months. We both come from huge families and both want kids. I am a first grade teacher and he is a computer engineer. This is been a depressing stage in my life. constantly getting BFN's. I use to have regular periods and then all of a sudden they got weird lasting almost 2 months then lasting two days. Then I wouldn't have periods at all.I also don't ovulate at all. My cousin told me that I might have PCOS and I researched it and I think I do. I made an appointment to go see OB/GYN on August 7, 2008.I recently found out that my 20 yr. old sister is preggo and got so mad. I always ask God why is it so hard for me and other people. If any one have any advice and suggestions please feel free to leave them. I could use all the help I can get.
Hi AJ....Welcome to the site! This is a wonderful place to recieve advice, experiene journeys and of course, vent if you need to! We are all here for the same reasons and need eachother. I'm so sorry it is taking you so long to TTC. I know how hard it is. It sucks so bad and it's so emotionally hard. And my sister just gave birth on Saturday and it was the hardest days of my life b/c I've been TTC for a year and she gets preggo the first time by accident. So it's rough. However, when I saw that little baby come into the world, I was soo happy and excited. I know that will one day be me...and I pray one day soon.
I too have PCOS, came off BCP's last summer to TTC. My periods didn't come back, so by November I had to go to my OBGYN and see what is up. He suspected PCOS and not ovulating. So I induced AF with provera and still nothing. By March of this year I was started on clomid, and 3 rounds later, nothing....So I started Metformin and have been on that for going on 3 months now. I didn't get a period for 60 days after my 3rd round of clomid, so I waited and waited just to see....and nothing...negative HPT's. I am soo sad and feel like it's never going to happen. I now had to induce AF again and got my period. I am on CD2 now and I will be taking 150mg of clomid and 1500mg Metformin this 4th round. I really am praying this works....My insurance also doesn't cover fertility treatments so that's not an option right now.
I really hope we get our BFP's soon! I'm praying for an AUGUST BFP!

Hi AKT thanx for the welcome. I feel just like you do with the sister sitution. My sister is 3 months pregnant and she's not ready for a baby at all especially at such a young age. It is very emotional and very hard but Im making it. I haven't undergone any treatment yet my appointment is for the 7th of August. Im hoping that I can get the meds and it work instantly.lol. My aunt who is a nurse told me I have to loose weight so I can get at the right BMI. So I've been dieting. She also told me to try Vitex and something called Dong Quai. so Im going to do that. Hopefully it helps some what. Im trying everything and taking all advice. This site is very helpful. Im on CD 17 and I dont think I ovulated yet. I plan on starting OPK so I can see if I can pinpoint it. I hopeing and praying for everyone because I totally understand what you all are going through.

Vitex and Dong Quai are supplements that can be found at a GNC store. Vitex is suppose to help balance hormones during our cycles, increasing production of luteinizing hormone(LH). It suppose to raise your progesteron level. Dong Quai is said to bring AF back and they say take with Vitex to make yourself regular. check out this website www.tryingtoconceive.com they are other stuff on they that people say help them conceive. My aunt used Vitex and Dong Quai so Im going to try it. The Vitex is like $11 and the other is like $8 if you look it up on GNC website. It dont hurt to try you just might get lucky...

Just an update on what's been going on with me. For the past week I had been feeling sick, very tired, hungry, all your basic symptoms of pregnancy. I wasn't thinking to much of it because I know I can not get pregnant but today my fiancee strtd acting wierd having the same symptoms as me and today at work I threw up. So I told my co worker what was going on and she told me take a pregnancy test that she happened to have at work lol. It was weird seeing that she already 7 weeks pregnant why is she carrying around pregnancy test but ne who I took the test and it came out positive. I was excited and confused all together but more excited. I called my fiancee and told him and we immediatly set up a doc appointment which is next Thursday. So I am hoping to see something on that screen that confirms my pregnancy.
AJ Walker I am so excited for you ...Congrats!!!Congrats!!!!Congrats!!!!Please share your journey with me give me some lucky uppy....lol I am on my 10DPO and I have been having all of the preggo symptoms but I am so afraid that AF will show by the 30th. I am on my 1st round of clomid since my 2nd MC 1 year and a half ago but today boobs alittle sore not as much as they were yesterday. Appetite increase a week ago and crampy on and off CM lotion like for 3 days and now clear but not as much as when it was lotion like. O my god I am so hoping this is my month any advise?
Thanx Thanx Thanx!!! lol All I can say is don't stress because stress can effect your chances. If AF dont come after the 30th have passed take a test. If you are not pregnant just keep trying and believeing. I didnt take any fertility drugs I took Vitex along with some other herbs.

Thanx AKT. I am very thrilled but not too thrilled becuase I will be sad if I'm not. My appointment is on the 7th of August so I have to wait a couple days lol. I don't know why I thought my appointment was tomorrow proably just anxious lol. Some days I feel pregnant and other days I don't which scare me but hopefully everything goes good. How are you doing?

Sorry it has been so long since I've been on here but just an update, I am prego. 11 weeks to be exact but at the doctor we have yet to hear a heartbeat so me and DH are kinda scared but are still positive. The doctor sometimes it takes up to 14 weeks sometimes so Im crossing my fingers when I go on the 20th of August I hear something.
So I will keep everyone posted and thanx you all for your help.

I have been feeling very sick these past days, today would have to be my worst day. I was throwing up all day about every hour then almost every 40 minutes. It was just horrible since I was at work and Im a teacher lol. But overall I feel good very excited and anxious. You just hang in there you will get you BFP very soon.
Hey AJ, I just wanted to let you know I got my BFP on Sunday!!! I don't go for my appt until Sept 19 is when they will see me first. I will be about 9 weeks then, but a little nervous as I won't know anything until then. Is that how they did for you? I read above that you are going for your 12 wk check up. Have you been seen yet before that?? Just curious?
