trying to conceive

About 10 years ago I had a conization done. I had 98% of my cervix removed. My husband and I want to have a child. We ahve talked to my doctor and he says that it is possible for me to get pregnant and then have a stitch to help me carry to term. Anyway my question is Can I get pregnant? We have been trying to conceive for almost a year.

Yes, you can get pregnant at about the same rate as everyone else, and if that much cervix was removed, chances are that a prophylactic cerclage may be placed for you to carry the pregnancy at about 14wks gestation...
