In PCOS patients which is what I'm assuming you were diagnosed with given that you're not ovulating and were Rx Fortamet, metformin (fortamet) alone has been shown in a powerful landmark study recently published to have a 7% overall live birth rate within the first six months of use...very underwhealming as you can see and almost demoralizing, but that's the strongest data we have. I would recommend having you at least take clomid with the metformin shown in the same study to have a 27% live birth rate, a much better probability. By asking your doctor to Rx you clomid also, it will hopefully help you with this problem.
