You take the day of your next expected period and you count back 14 days and that is about when you will ovulate. If your cycles are 24 days then you already missed your window this month. You should start using opk's (ovulation testing kits) to help you pinpoint the exact day you'll ovulate. Make sure you bd (have sex) every other day the week you expect to ovulate and then again the night you do ovulate and this is your best bet at getting pregnant. I also think that the doggy style position to use during this time. Good luck! :)

i am also trying to get preggers i should be fertile on the 5,6,7,and on the 8 i should ovulate dose this mean i have to have sex all these days i have checked these dates on a fertility calander answers would be grateful.

i get my period every 33 days.

Tam, don't rely on the fertility calendars, they were wrong for me. I found out that I was ovulating four days earlier then the calendars were saying I would so I kept missing my ovulation. Use ovulation predictor kits, they are your best bet at knowing the exact day you'll ovulate. You can bd every day if you want or you can bd every other day and then the day you ovulate. So you can bd on the 5th, 7th and the 8th or every day, up to you :))))) If your hubby has a good sperm count every day is great, if not then do it every other day but def the day you ovulate! I used the clearblue easy ovulation kit that shows a smiley face when you're ovulating and an empty cirlce when you're not. It was awesome and I got pregnant the first month I used them too!

well done you i now have a pain in y right side so imay be ovulating now so here goes tonite.if it doesnt happen i will buy one of those kits thank a lot and will keep you posted best of luck.
