Travelling is very safe, no restrictions (except avoid prolonged sitting for >2hrs) stretch, and if going to beach, use sunscreen

Do I have to stay in the shade?

I recently spent an entire week in sanibel, FL out in the sun almost everyday. I made sure to wear sunscreen and definitely stay hydrated. We also brought an umbrella in case it got too hot and I took dips in the ocean often. Have fun!!

ps. My doc said that was ok :O)

Pregnant or not you should ALWAYS stay out of the sun

I heard just today, so strange...a pregnant daycare mom got the hyper-pigmentation thing from too much sun. Just has big brown blotches now. Other than that...I think sun is good. I was always out in it during my first pregnancy....slathered on the sun block. :O) Have a fun time on the beach. :O)

Hi Sisibel! I am flying for a trip in Aug. and was wondering the same thing.

Here's a great book: "Pregnancy Dos & Don'ts" by Elisabeth Aron.

It says air travel is safe....make sure to stay hydrated and stretch your legs. Try to go on shorter flights and out of super high altitude.

My question: What about the x-ray machines? Can we say "HEY I'M PREGO AND I'M NOT GOING THROUGH THAT" Will they call security on us? Am I paranoid?

I "thought" I WAS preggo on my honeymoon. I asked to be hand patted down, rather than go thru the machine....just don't act pushy or scary....they seemed really cool about it. :O)
