The latest on me, more to come tomorrow...BFP here I come!

Was supposed to have LAP done today, but since insurance is screwed up, I don't want to risk being charged out of pocket if they claim it as pre-existing...so waiting til April atleast, that way the pre-existing clause is no longer in effect. I had repeat labs for my prolactin on Monday, so I will find out tomorrow at my appt. how that's doing. I am also going to talk to my Dr. about just doing the HSG right now, I have had recommendations by Dr. Q and several others here, to go with the less invasive first, and that totally makes sense. So I hope I can get that done soon! I am going to see if they can bill it as something other than infertility so insurance will cover it, but then if they do I will have to wait on that also! That's all I have for now. Wish me luck tomorrow, and prayers that prolactin is ok.

Prolactin level is back to normal...at a 9, b4 it was 25, but dr thinks it was just a fluke. I am CD 11 today, and waiting for O.

Had a dream last night that I had the HSG and there was a little blockage, but Dr. gave me Clomid after that and I got my BFP the same cycle! Hopefully that is a premonitionary dream! I do have those sometimes...guess I just have to wait and find out. Oh, and if I pay upfront for the procedure I can get a discount and only pay 505 for it...instead of 700+. But the Dr. said I should just do it along with the lap, so if there is something there that can be corrected they can do it then.

I am also getting a referral to a GI specialist to check out the films on my pancreatic cyst, and about the location of the pain...so waiting on that appointment now, but still TTC in the meanwhile! Good luck girls!

Hi James,

I was having insurance problems with my LAP as well. If my fertility doc did the procedure it would not be covered b/c I reached my max for insurance assistance with infertility treatment. I had my gyn do it and it was fully covered. Good luck!!!

Thanks jen, but I have really terrible insurance. I have no infertility covg, and outpatient only covers $2500 per year. I wish I could just get it over with! It is going to be so expensive!! Can you tell me how much the actual procedure and anesthesia and everything costs? Just so I can get an idea, I know it's different everywhere. Thanks!
