The Big Retrieval Day on Wednesday....7 Mature Follies..Accepting Baby Dust!!

Hi Girls,
I just wanted to share that this Wednesday I am having retrieval done and am hoping I get a few good embryos transferred!! I am not sure if all u girls know that I started IVF process this month for the first time. I have been pregnant before (conceived naturally), but miscarried. I am kinda stressed out because of my age (38), so that is why my RE is going with this agressive route!! Today, my RE told me that I have 7 mature follies, so hopefully I will get a few good ones transferred. Anyway, I so much appreciate everyone on this site. Everyone of you are so sweet, encouraging and I don't think I could of had the strength to even try IVF if it weren't for the motivation I have found from this site. I am accepting lots of babydust. I hope and pray everyone ttc is successful and that we all have a baby/babies!!!!!

They won't do a beta til Friday, so u/s at 6 wks...can't wait! :) So happy!
Yes, I you will take a few meds..you'll probably take tetracycline, medrol and of course progesterone. You might be given something for pain relief..tho its not bad. I was given tylenol 3..it kinda knocked me on my butt..so try just one at first if you need it..

I am starting to worry, because I only have 7 mature follies. My RE said that was an excellent number....but, is it for my age? I am praying to get at least three good embryos transferred. What do u ladies think? I know that a person can have a lot of follies and have bad quality ones...I don't know:(
Good Luck on the retrival tomorrow Carolyn! I'm sure you'll have GREAT eggs in those follies. Be sure to rest and take it easy and not too much stress!! Keep us posted on your progress.
