Tampons vs Pads

A saline ultra sound caused me to start my period early when I talked to the nurse at my dr's office, she told me not to use tampons. Is there a reason why I am not supposed to use them right now? I really dont like wearing pads and if there isnt really a reason why I would like to go back to using tampons.

I'm not sure what a saline ultrasound is..but a yr ago, I had an HSG where they inject dye into your tubes...they said to wear a pad for that too b/c otherwise it could cause infection. Hope that helps.

A saline ultra sound is pretty much the same thing as an HSG the only difference is they inject saline instead of dye into the uterus.
