Tampon pain

So af showed yestyrday (8th apirl 08) 5wks late but at least shes here again.
Wat Im wanting to know is, is it normal to experience sever pain when I use tampoons? I have pcos and endo and that causes me so much pain but everytime I try to use tampoons I seriously feel like I will die from pain. I spoke to my gyno and he checked that Im inserting it correctly and he said I was doing that perfect and couldnt think of why using them would cause me so much pain.
I was sexually abused over the perod of 4yrs and sometimes the guy would abuse me if objects (eg broom handles etc). Could that be wat is causing this pain? or could it be from pcos and endo? Does anyone else have this prob? Im so over using pads they are so yuck and coz Im a heavy bleeder they are heaps messy too.....Help!!!

Flutter i am sorry to hear you are in pain- do you think the tampon is bringing up bad memeories of the abuse- that a horrific thing to go thru- maybe its a repressed feeling..IDK just thinknig maybe there is a bigger issue at hand here....

Hi Caryn, I do see a counselor once a wk spercificly for my sexual abuse. You may be right tho it might be that the tampon use brings up bad memories for my body. Hmm neve thought of that....
Im currently using pads anyway coz to scared of the pain the tampon cause's. My af is so heavy this month that I have already gone thru almost a full pack of 12 pads in one day. And my endo and pcos is giving me hell this af in so much pain. I hardly slept last night coz of it arrrgh!

Thanx HopeN Ive spoken to my gyno's a few times about it and they keep shrugging it off. Just getting on my nerves not being able to use them (tampons). Im thinking a bit like you tho that it could be from the endo. Hmm will see wat dr q thinks.....By the way love your belly pic :o) Not much longer to go for you so excited your gonna make the best mummy....
