RE is Reproductive Endocrinologist. Day 21 test is done to see if u actually ovulated and check ur progesterone levels. Its done in all actuality 7 Days after ovulation not always on Day 21.
If u get an LH surge or have an ultrasound to confirm ovulation, u dont need the test unless ur RE suspects real low progesterone levels after ovulation where she may Rx supplements..But they check ur progesterone as soon as u get preggo and if low, can still supplement.

My Gyn/obs is an infertility specialist. I've reading comments of other females in clomid and they explain that they get test every 21 day, but since I've been taking clomid the only test that I get every time is a pregnancy test, an a vaginal exam before I can go to the next round of clomid. By the way what RE stand?
