1 hr test done week 16 of pregnancy
Sugar in Urine but not in blood?
February 25, 2008
What causes this? Is one truly diabetic if there is sugar excreted in the urine, but the 1 hr test is normal (99)?
Also, I do know that the fasting levels are not accurate and that u need to get a 2 or 3 hr GTT. If I had a 3 hr Glucose Tol reading of 85 3 days before BFP and ever since urine has sugar am I diabetic?

pls ignore the post, got the answer for an earlier response...
Secreating sugar in your urine during pregnancy is actually a very normal thing...
"The kidneys tolerace to not allow sugar to pass is actually very low...so that once there's a little more sugar (due to pregnancy) and even though not close to having gestational diabetes, the little extra sugar will spill out (but normal so long as your GTT is Ok like yours)..."
