I'm 30 and my husband is 42. We have unexplained infertility and my docs have given us a 47% chance of success. Not great but at least it's something. It does depend on whether you are producing eggs and your partner sperm along with other contributing factors. Have you been to a clinic yet?

If what you have is male factor infertility then IVF with ICSI should give you an excellent chance at conceiving. I would say around 60% at Red Rock Fertility Clinic, the national average however is around 45%. Before you get started I would investigate your IVF clinic thoroughly and make sure that they have a history of good pregnancy rates in your age group and that they have skilled embryologist and good equipment in order to perform the ICSI procedure. IVF is a huge investment of time and money and you want to make sure that you are being treated well and not like a number. Good luck with this... I wish you the best!!!!

We're starting our ivf journey on Nov. 4th. My dh and I are both 38 and neither one of us have children. I've checked out fine, but my dh has low sperm count(5-6 mill), motility and about 0% morphology. We need to do ICSI. I know the older you are, the lower % chance of it working, but hopefully it will work for us.

We live in Minnesota. We're paying for their "warranty program" that costs $24,000. We get 3 fresh and 3 frozen cycles (if there are some to freeze) and if none of those result in a pregnancy, we get 75% of our money back. We though that was our best option.

Good luck to all of you going through IVF out there!!!
