Hi Terah from what u say u are not ovulating and that is why no AF and a BFN. Metformin alone may or may not work depending on ur diagnosis. Also, accupuncture combined with western medicine will give you the best results. If your periods are wacky the only way is to get fertility treatments, atleast Clomid. Hope it all returns to normal soon.

I am on cd 48 after having had my last period induced by progesterone. I am on progesterone again and have negative tests along with no af. I am taking 1000mg of metformin bid and no luck. I m/c in february this year and have not had 1 single normal cycle since. I am not going through anymore fertility treatments for the time being due to some insurance issues and patient/physician conflict. I have started accupuncture w/ a chinese herbalist who specializes in fertility. Does any one have any suggestions for me at this point? BTW I am not over weight and I have lost 5% of my body weight in the last month. Any reason why I am not having a cycle? Also one more thing. after being put on metformin alone I started having a fairly "regular" cycle but not since m/c
