Starting to feel nervous...

July 07, 2008

Hi everyone, I am not in my 26th week and my emotions have started to run all over the place. I am so excited to be a mom for the first time but I am also starting to feel a little anxious about all the adjustments...this is normal right? Anyone else experience this?

hi lauryn, yes you are toatally normal hun, i have up and down days too, i even started crying at adverts on tv lol. alot is hormones and tiredness and 60% is being a mom, we worry from the day we find out and forever more. it is a blow to your life having a child , the no late nights out partying at the drop of a hat and the putting someone more needy than you first things are a shock to the system but the rewards are much greater and un describable. once you hold your baby and look into his/her eyes all those worries fall away and the overwhelming love takes over. its hard to explain but you will see. good luck sweetie, im currently 29 weeks with my 3rd little boy and totally understand where your coming from, take care xx

Hey Lauryn! How ar eyou? Don't worry I think everyone feels like this...at least I did. I felt up and down constantly. I was just so scared about what to do and how will I know when to do it and what is right! :) I think it is all normal, but so frickin' scary!!! Even the day we brought Caden home I cried and cried b/c I didn't know what to do next and still questioned everything. My dh was the best and just listened and reassured me. Talking to him will hopefully help. He probably feels the same way, but doesn't say it. It will bring you guys together and hopefully help so much. Please take care and message me if you want to talk more! Hugs and congrats on getting to your 3rd tri!

No problem Lauryn! It is nice to hear that other women go through this too. I felt weird at the time b/c I actually felt like it was bad to feel that way. But like Claire said it is such a shock to your world. Take care and thanks! Caden is the apple of my eye! :)
