Starting Clomid

We've been trying for a year and my obgyn wanted to start me on Clomid, she thinks I have luteal phase defect. First we had to get a semen analysis. And my husband had bi-lateral varicocele. His sperm count was a slight lower than normal and the motility was only 25%. He just had surgery last Friday to repair it. Hopefully it works. I just started my period today. Should I call my ob to see if she wants me to start clomid this month or at least give her a heads up of whats going on?

It's best to probably call your doctor and follow your doctor's recommendation in regards to starting or not starting Clomid this month. You may need to consider that you have a combined fertility problem. It's probably a good idea to also ask the urologist if it is okay to try conceiving this month.
