Spotting on Prometrium

Hello- I have a complicated story so I'll try to make this brief. I am 33yo and TTC for 3.5 years. Unexplained fertility. 2 failed IUIs with Follistim and HCG trigger. Had D&C in January to remove polyps and thin out a very thick lining. Traditionally have 32 day cycles with heavy bleeding and big clots preceeded by 9 days of spotting. My D&C has not improved this at all.
My Dr. recently put me on Clomid in an effort to again thin out the lining, followed by Prometrium (200mg) 48hrs after ovulation, and Prednisone. I ovulated on day 19 (according to my fertility monitor) and started spotting the day after, and it has continued all the way to today (which is day 24) I just don't understand how I can be spotting like this while taking 200mg of Prometrium. Does anyone have any advice?
