spotting EARLY after ovulation

This month was really strange in terms of ovulation for me. The first day of my period was Sept 26th. I started tracking my ovulating with the OPK on day 10 and got a neg, but it was POS on days 11-13, which is earlier than my usual 14-16. I tested on day 14 and it was back to a clear neg. We managed to have sex a few times on days 11-13. I am now on day 18, and last night i had a little very lt red spotting, which was odd being so early. So i took a pregnancy test, although i knew the directions said you could take this test as early as 7 DPO. I was only about 3, maybe 4 past. The test said negative. Of course my friend Jolene assured me it could still be positive and i just tested way too early. Is it a possibility i could still be pregnant with this early early neg result? AND why the lt red spotting? I haven't had any today yet.

I would wait a few days yet and take another pregnancy test. I have heard that it can be normal to have light spotting after concieving - I believe they call it "implantation bleeding". Hope this helps some!

I just read your post on spotting a few days after ovulation! I'm so glad you posted this because the same thign has just happened to me! I O'd sometime on saturday and i had some light spotting this afternoon. Not blood but just light pink mucus with a streak of red and brown. But I am only 3-4 dpo which is strange. I did have iui done though on Saturday and I called my DR and he said that sometimes it is possible to spot a few days after iui... hmm strange. Just thought I would let you know!
