Well, this is my second try. I actually take gonal f. The first time I got pregnant with twins and miscarried at 16 weeks. The try after that, nothing. I asked if I could do an IUI. He said that if you don't have sperm motility problems, it won't make any difference. He told me to relax and have a glass of wine. Next time he will add Menopur.
should I get and iui after on and off clomid for 15 mo?

My OB said I wasn't ovulating so I started on 50mg of clomid and now at 100mg the last 3mo. I've been on and off it for 15mo with no success. He said I could try an IUI this mo. (in about 1 week or so I'll ovulate). My tubes are clear, my ovaries look good as well as my husbands sperm count. And I'm ovulating. My husband leaves overseas in Dec so we only have this month and the next to try. Should I be taking additional fertility shot to better my chances with the IUI? My OB disagrees because of the risks and complications that may occur. Please help!!
The more aggressive one is the better, and in cases like this, Gonadotropins (Gonal-F for example) with an IUI would be wise given the amount of Clomid failures that are present and IUI in cases of unexplained infertility (this appears to be the case) IUIs do help significantly for these cases...REs are better suited to provide these treatments and can find one near you using this site
