sex every day too much when ttc

It's only too much if the male has a low sperm count. Usually, the general rule is to do it every other day unless you KNOW for sure that his sperm is high and great. That way, a good supply of sperm can build up. Personally, my husband and I had sex every other day, and every day around ovulation, and we did get pregnant. We never had his sperm count checked though.

I would say the same as meghan, its ok if he has a great count but every other is just as good and gives you a little break from it. I couldnt go at it every day, i would be so sore!!!

Sperm can live up to 5 days, most likely 3 or 4, but every other is gonna give you plenty of good odds to get preggo :)

Some nights we didn't have the energy! I remember there being some nights where it was just like "get in there and get it over with!" We didn't have sex for like 2 weeks after I found out I was prego because we were both sick of it! Haha.. now, its nice to just do it whenever.. and without a purpose other than enjoyment!

Chels is right though.. every other day does give you pretty good odds at having some good little spermies up there for that egg!

Meghan is right, depends on the sperm count. we BDd every day starting CD 10 until CD 17 the last 2 months of TTC and the 2nd month worked even though I ovulated only on CD 21. safest option is every other day and close 2 ovulation every day.

Chels, I know its so consuming, I had to quit my job just to find time to BD. I still remember the last night, we were in a bar and it was 11 PM and I was looking at my watch every 2 mins, we came home at 2 AM and the first thing wwe did is BD. DH was pssd, but if we hadnt done that night, no preggo right now.

yup, just talking - or rather complaining about have to have sex all the time. We are actually just doing an experamnet this month and doing it every other day from CD 7 after the IVF to see what happens but GEEZE im just so sick of thinking about all this and HAVING to have sex and etc, i know it will be worth it in the end but i could give a crap about it at this point! LOL!
