September/October 2009 IVF - anyone want to join me???

Hi Ladies!!!

I just started my BCP today for my 1st ever IVF! I have done 7 months of clomid, one month of Follistim, and 4 IUI's. I got a BFP on my very last Follistim/IUI cycle in July, but sadly it ended up being ectopic. I had surgery to remove my right tube a week ago, and my HCG level today was less than 1, so I got to start on my IVF protocol today! YAY! I'm so excited, but I'm terrified at the same time!

According to my IVF calendar, I will be on birth control until September 18th, will start on stims (Follistim) on September 21st, will have my my retreival on approximately October 1st, and my transfer on approximately October 4th!

I would love to have some more ladies join me in this IVF journey!! Newbies and veteran IVF'ers are absolutely welcome!! The more the merrier!!!

Loads of babydust and stickyglue ladies!!!

Heemal - my AF after my failed IVF last month was very heavy and quite painful. AF is normally pretty painful for me though (I'm guessing because of the endo), so it wasn't too far out of the normal range for me. I would say if it gets too bad you should call your RE or go in to the ER. It's possible that it could be a cyst that burst. . . . good luck hun, and I hope you feel better soon.

I hear ya about not wanting to go in to the ER, so I hope it gets better! It's my understanding with stimming that the meds cause your estrogen levels to skyrocket, and endo directly feeds off of estrogen causing it to grow. Therefore, the higher your estrogen level, the more the endo grows back. . . so, it could be some endo again, unless they were able to remove it all last time. Mine came back in 8 weeks (after surgery), after just one month of stims=(. Hopefully that isn't the case for you, and hopefully your pain subsides soon!!!

Yeah, my transfer was Thursday. One day 6 blast and one day 5 blast were transferred. Now we wait! Beta on Friday the 13th=).

Heemal - I sure hope you are feeling better now. That sounds so scary.

I had my ER today. It was really not too bad at all. To me, the worst part was the IV (you would think that after all of the blood work and injections i would be okay with needles by now) Anyway - they took 9 eggs which I was really excited about. Now, we play the waiting game.......

Hey girls. I am having a really hard time this morning. Its my 32nd birthday and instead of wanting to celebrate all I want to do is lie in bed and mope. My beta is not for another 6 days and the anxiety of not knowing has me downright depressed. I cant think of anything else, and I feel like just throwing in the towel. I have cried all morning long. I know that this is only my first IVF, and I was told it could take a couple times, but....I don;t think I need to explain, you gals know how it feels. Anyone else get depressed waiting for the beta? My husband keeps trying to get me moving, but its so hard.

Aw Jess...hun, it is such a hard journey to take, but try as best as you can to think positive thoughts. I sometimes worry about my age STB 41! and what if this cycle doesn't work, but I realize I just can't go there right now. Its one day at a time and just hoping for some good news. Its out of our hands, so turn it over to the good doctors and wherever you have your faith, maybe religion maybe fate, whatever. Please try to celebrate with your hubby and be hopeful that your little bean is growing and doing well inside you.

Wannabe, WAHOOO!! geez, hun. how was it? Is it painful at all? Relax, smile all day and just send good throughts down towards your tummy. Sending you sticky dust. !!

MS - 9 is great. I hope they all turn out to be grade A. Glad your ER was ok, I am nervous, but did make sure they were putting me under! I dont want to be awake.

Meg - how are you feeling? Not going crazy on your 2ww? :-)

AFM - they said they may still let me go one more day before ER. I have a "bunch" of 15 that may catch up. Not sure any longer how many total I have but I know I have 2 leading around 19. My BBS hurt like Im already pregnant. Anyone get the really sore boobs? I was a little moody with the dh today. Frowning caus he didn't buy me the right diet soda...lol Eh...its all hormone related im sure.
