they dont like you to use any lube with a S/A, well at least my RE didnt.

You can use veggie oil and preseed w/out hurting the sperm tho if he needs to use something.

Our lab told us not to use a lubricant. They said it can alter the results. But, I have heard veggie oil and pre-seed are sperm friendly but just try not to get it near the "sample" I'm not really sure if those 2 will alter results or not since they are sperm friendly.

There reasoning was they don't want anything affecting the sperm or messing with the consistency of the sample.

How long does it take approx. to get results from these tests?

I got mine the next day. My OBGYN ordered them for us. We took the sample at home, using the method above ; )

Super! Our appt. with the RE isn't until Sept 18th so we'll have lots of time to get the results back then.

Good Question!!! Actually believe it or not, mineral oil or canola oil are the best lubricants to use and yes I mean the canola oil that you can buy at the grocery store...

Thanks for all your help girls! The dh provided his "sample" to the lab this morning sans lubricant. He told me he didn't think it was good baby making material since he was put under to much pressure! We'll wait and see...

well his analysis came back great all normal...so once we figure me out we'll be all set!

Chels, he was rated on Kruger. My doc said Kruger is so strict, that and the fact he had such a high count was the reason he is not worried.
