if you are not having periods I would recommend for you to do some blood work to check your hormones and also the dr can do a u/s to see what is going on with your ovaries....many reasons can cause this factor and yes after testing and looking at the results the dr can place you on meds to help you ovulate.

If you haven't have a period in a while you might want to have your dr do a beta test to see if you are preggo because you don't have to have your period to be fertile....ovulation must occur and if it did and you are preggo you get no period...

There is a cjance that you may need fertility treatment to concieve if you have secondary amenorrhea. However, you should consult with your doctor to workup your condition, even if you are not attempting pregnancy now. The reason for your amenorrhea should be sought out, pregnancy ruled out. Secondary amenorrhea could the presentation of another medical condition, ie thyroid disease or PCOS, which if untreated could have negative impacts on your overall health.

best of luck...
