There is a cjance that you may need fertility treatment to concieve if you have secondary amenorrhea. However, you should consult with your doctor to workup your condition, even if you are not attempting pregnancy now. The reason for your amenorrhea should be sought out, pregnancy ruled out. Secondary amenorrhea could the presentation of another medical condition, ie thyroid disease or PCOS, which if untreated could have negative impacts on your overall health.

If you haven't have a period in a while you might want to have your dr do a beta test to see if you are preggo because you don't have to have your period to be fertile....ovulation must occur and if it did and you are preggo you get no period...
