second infertility
November 27, 2007
I am 31 years old. y husband and Ihave been trying to conceive our second baby for 18 cycles withno success. I have 2 ovarian cysts which has been persistent for over 5 months. I am waiting to have a laparoscopy done. What are my chances of getting pregnant wit the cysts? Am I still able to conceive having the cysts? Do I ovulate from the cystic ovary or am I ovulating on alternate months?

If you've had these cysts for that long, best to get these removed if your doctor said, but make sure your doc doesn't take out your ovary if possible! Once they are removed, you should have fertility labs drawn to make sure everything is ok, and while the laparoscopy is done, your doctor can do a chromotubation (where fluid is injected into the uterus to check to see if the tubes are open)
Afterwards, you may need the help of medications such as Clomiphene Citrate (clomid), and you'll see that many users here have been on it..
Good luck, and keep us posted...
