If you had ivf procedure (embryo transfer) yesterday and

You were on bed rest for a couple days, during that time you had to strain to have a bowel movement would that cause you to loose the embyros?

Not necessarily, I know this time is stressful, but be reassured that there's pinopodes (fingerlike projections) in the endometrium that we believe help keep the embryos in place, even when straining. Good luck, we hope it works out for you and please let us know the outcome.

I found out today that my hcg was only 26. I still have to take my prosterine shot and my estrogen pill until my count goes down to 5 can you explain to my why I still have to take the meds. Thanks

Hi Marlene,

It all depends on what your hcg was 2 days ago or if this is your first hcg and if so, what cd were you when this was taken. From the sound of what you're saying however, it seems that it was higher before and now it's down to 26 (since you say it has to go down to 5), which would unfortunately then mean it's a chemical pregnancy that ended in a miscarriage. If you, there should be no need to continue the meds and would consult your RE again.
