Scared about Noahs non movement the past 2 days
July 22, 2008
I have been feeling him a lot and then since like Sunday night or so he hasnt been moving around as much. Im starting to worry a little bit. Im hoping that today he starts getting more active again, or else im heading straight to my doctors office. We have an appointment on Monday but if I dont feel him that much today im for sure calling and letting them know.
Im 22weeks 3days today, and again I have been feeling him pretty good since like 19weeks or so.

I havent felt him all morning which is totally odd, but im trying to wait it out and chug some water and let my nut bar settle which I thought it had by now, and usually he will move after I eat something and he isnt.

Jolene- my sis had the same thing happen when she was pregnant...rushed to the doc's office, and they gave her a Dr. Pepper- and it worked to get him moving! :) Try something with some caffiene/sugar and see if that gets him moving...if not, I would try to get in to the office today- just to make sure everything is okay and stop you from worrying!
Thanks ladies, and I will go and drink something with sugar, as I usually only drink 1 Mt. Dew a day starting at like 19weeks because I was scared to drink caffeine. But I have Sierra mist downstairs so I might drink that.
Actually im starting to think he is waking up, but im going to keep notice to his movement, because again it hasnt been as much the past 2 days as its been for the past few weeks. But right now he is kicking I think...thank God!!!

Hi Jolene, Noah is still way too lil to feel constant movement. It would be on and off until about week 26-27. Sometimes sugar wouldnt do the trick as the baby would be moving but just too small to be felt outside.
But yes best is to see a Dr and get it checked coz I know how worried I was too and always better to be cautious.

What I feel is usually like nudges and kicks off and on, but Im pretty aware of when he is awake and not awake. He will kick me a good bit while he is awake, and then for a little while I wont feel much, and then after I eat something or what not he is back to his little kicking and stuff. Its not like rolling around that I always feel, although I do get this weird feeling in my stomach of just ackwardness and I feel like maybe that is him flipping around at times, but again im not sure, but its such an odd feeling. Im pretty in tune with usally whats going on and can pay attention, but yeah its not like constant rolling around that I feel its more like nudges and kicks.
Ok I think he is fine, he is kicking a good bit in the past few minutes. The water must have gotten to him...haha. He will do where he kicks for a minute straight, and then stop for a while and do it again later, but thats how I know he is fine, until I really start feeling him rolling around more. I guess we will see when that comes.
You're funny Jolene! but completely normalto get worried. I was exactly like that. I was always afraid something was wrong. ANd I was always moving and busy during the day that I wouldn't feel him. THen I would have to sit down drink OJ and make sure he was still happy in my belly! Take care and give Noah a pat for me! :)
thanks sweetie! Yeah im not active during the day, since I work from home and work at my computer all day. Only time im active is if im doing laundry and cleaning and organizing stuff, so then I really dont feel him, but I know that during the mornings and times im sitting here doing work I usually feel a few nudges and kicks throughout the time to let me know he is ok. I only felt those few from earlier after drinking all that water, but it was for a good minute so I know he is doing A OK.
Thanks sweetie!
Noah says hello and thanks!
Give your little one love from me, he is just so darn cute!!!!

Thanks me too....a good friend of mine who just had her baby a few months back was making sure I knew that they sleep like 20 hrs a day, so he could have slept in a little longer or something, and the times I was moving around he was up and the times I was working or relaxing he was sleeping, so that might be why I didnt feel his kicks and nudges :)
Right now he is doing some kind of nudging and kicking in there...haha. Food must be setteling from lunch :)

Jolene I read in my baby book (i think or maye it was on the internet) the babies sleep in 20 minute intervals so maybe that could be it also maybne the times that he was up you could not feel him because you were dong something else you know..but i felt the same way when i first felt Arianna and Amaria kick really hard..it was 17 weeks and they were going hard for like a week and then it stopped for a couple of days..like i would feel it here and there..but for that first week i was REALLY feeling it you know..but then as they got bigger like 20 weeks boy they never stopped..so don't worry too much..like you and everyone said the drinking some sugar or sucking some candy or gum will get them moving for a little while..Take care sweetie..and I love Noah that name seems so peaceful....
Thanks ladies and yeah its scary at times. But so glad he moved. Just ready for him to be moving like crazy so I know he is fine. I have felt him a lot today, especially since working from home and always at my desk or doing something where im sitting and can kinda pay attention :)
Melissa, the water thing worked for me, I would try it.

Thanks ladies and Melissa yes the water thing does work its crazy. Sugar does work too and caffeine but again I like to limit myself to 1 Mt. Dew a night, but I will have like Sprite or something else through out the day. Its so not me to drink non diet drinks, but I was watching my sugar intake just like I did before pregnancy (since its loaded with carbs and all that), but I started to get really light headed at times and so I started to drink a sprite a day or 2, and I felt so much better. Then @ 19weeks thats when I had my first drink of caffeine in a LONG time. Didnt have any until then while pregnant, but while TTC I hardly had it as I read it could effect infertility even more, and with my PCOS and taking CLomid and all that I figured I would cut it out and not take it.
Anyways so glad I can drink caffeine now, but not much but still it helps give me some more energy that I need :)
Sam, im so glad he is ok too, it scared me for a bit, but he more then made up for the scare...especially last night trying to fall asleep he was bouncing all around, but I was loving every minute of it...haha!
LOts of love ladies!!
