Rogam shot

June 25, 2008

I have to have the Rogam shot again after this m/c but im still not bleeding yet - is it better to wait to be bleeding b4 getting the shot or should I go now?

My doc gave me the script but im not sure when is best to go in for it.

I had my last one 2 days after I started bleeding, could that have something to do with this m/c? Did I wait too long to get it b4?

thx wendy! Thats so kind of you :)

Also, Dr. Q, i was reading on the net about how some docs dont have their patients get the shot during a pregnancy or after birth or m/c. Do you have ladies that are RH - go?

I had one with each of my kids and after each birth and then with the 2 m/c's i had this year.

The article was saying that it has mercury in the shot and could cause issues with babies while you are preggo as well as if you just had a m/c.

My daughter is autistic and has a + blood type like my ex hubby, my son is not autistic and has a - blood type like me...... i thought there was a link between mercury and autism - could this have been the issue???

I have all ladies who are RH - get a RhoGAM shot after miscarriages, any type of bleeding during pregnancy, at 28wks gestation and delivery routinely also

You can get the RhoGAM now as it lasts in your system for about 3 wks..

No link between RhoGAM, it's components and Autism, and more dangerous for subsequent pregnancies if you don't get RhoGAM than if you get the shot
