Coming from experience of remodeling our whole house and ripping up all floors and doing the Pergos and then tile in bathrooms, I think the laminate if they were the hardwood lamites and there was no glue and they were snap in place like the Pergos are, you are safe. No glue is involved in that. If glue is I would just probably not be around it.
As for laying tile there is basically just mortar and grout and stuff and that doesnt smell and I think is totally safe.
