This was my second IUI with injectibles and I took a test HPT today (2 weeks post IUI) and it is negative. I had three good follicles and took the ovidrel shot, so why does it fail every month?

What could be going wrong?

Missy, I feel the same way! I'm also 2 weeks post IUI with injections, femara, and ovidrel. I had 5 mature follicles and good sperm (20 million w/ 90% motility). Even though this was my 1st IUI I have been TTC w/ drugs for 2 years, 3 yrs total. Each month I've had mature follicles, and they can't find any reason why it's not working. I did get a BFP in March, but M/C'ed at 8 weeks. So, it's been 6 'good' cycles in a row w/ BFNs. What's the deal??? I'm starting to feel like it's just not gonna happen.

I just the BFN yesterday, so I'm really in dispair--I'm not usually so negative.

same reasons that regular sex each month can fail. With regualr sex you only have a 25% chance of sucess each month, if you are young and ovulate normally. Then as you age the rate goes down so having 2 good follies may only put you back at 25% chance of it working.

The odds are deff not in our favor, even with an IUI. We were told that with an IUI the sucess rate is only like 30-35%, sucky, hey?

im sorry for your BFN's both of you - they are hard. I have had several, more than i care to count but had an IUI with 5 follies one month and no pregnancy. Even went thru 2 IVF cycles and still no baby.... its no fun at all!
