Question on weight

Dr Q,

WEek 32 now and since week 28, I havent gained that much. Every 2 weeks, I have gained 3/4th lb. But until week 28, I had rapid weight gain.

Week 28 was when I was on a 2000 Cal diet and Im eating very healthy, just limiting carbs n eating tons of veggies n fruits.

Now, my Dr says I will gain 1 lb/week and last 4 weeks Ive gained 1.5 lbs totally.

Do u think 3/4th lb weight gain every 2 weeks is ok? Im concerned because thats not happening?

Not unusual HopeN to have minimal weight gain, you will most likely gain a little more in the next few weeks, and remember, it's only about a total of 22lbs that should be gained during the entire pregnancy which still gives you 2 more months....But like always, let your doc know...

Should be okay. My SIL had to watch her diet b/c of gestational diabetes.. and she ended up only gaining six pounds total by the end b/c she had been eating so unhealthy before. And her baby was very healthy.

I didn't gain any weight this past month. Which, is probably fine.. I'm chubby anyhow.. and I've been eating enough for baby.. except for when I was sick with food poisoning.

Just keep eating what you are supposed to... and everything should be fine. I agree though, def mention it to your doctor!

I dont' know much about it.. but, if your uterus is measuring 32 weeks thats where the baby is developed to.

My dr said not to focus too much on where the uterus measures right now, because its normal to measure 2 weeks behind or 2 weeks ahead, depending on where the baby is in regards to a grwoth spurt.
