Hi Dr.Q,
I was wondering if you could help me with something. I am 13w6d pregnant and my husband and I rented that fetal doppler last week. I was wondering if there should be a limit on how much I use it? I have been using it once or twice a day is that bad for my unborn child. Also It has the digital read out on it and it has always been between 150-160 and this morning it was in the 140's is that bad that the heartrate went down? Maybe it was still sleeping this morning or something? I dont know but I'm a little worried. I love using it because I love hearing the baby but I dont think it was a good thing for me to rent because I always tend to worry about pretty much everything. What do you think? Please help! Hey Maria...lots of people say that a high heart rate is indicative of a girl, and a low heart rate a boy..however I have read and was told by my doctor that there is no scientific evidence to back it up. I think my little one is the perfect example, her heart rate averages 130-140 which is "low", but she is a girl!
aww thanks so much girls! I tend to worry over stupid things sometimes! I just listened to the heartrate again and this time it was between 148-162 so who knows! My doctor said we can find out in 4 more weeks... yay! We cant wait! Erin, how cute your little girl sounds... looks like she is nice and cozy in there and enjoying every minute of it!
