Q about my one day period?

So as you know, I got a - Beta after a +HPT last Monday-
I called my RE to make sure that because I only bled for one day, if that would change my upcoming IVF Cycle-
She returned my call requesting blood work, one to check for pregnancy, which I already know I am not- since I took another HPT on Thursday (neg) but also for a progesterone test.. I asked why and she said to see if I would be ovulating for this cycle coming up-
So my questions are:
1. What level are they looking for, I am on CD 8 today
2. If my progesterone indicates that I am not going to ovulated in my upcoming cycle, what does it mean for my upcoming IVF cycle?

i have had 1 day periods in my life, but i think only 1 or 2 and i thought they were wacky. I dont understand why such a short period esp w/the chemical pregnancy. Your lining wasnt that thin, its not like it was 2 or somthing crazy like that and you know you ovulated at least one egg.
When i did the IVF they tested me for prog and it was .7 once and they were like, alright still more meds then it was at 2 and they said i was getting ready to ovulate so they told me to take the trigger taht night.
If you are ovulating this time around, which you should cuz you ovulate on your own, then they will start you on the lupron day 21 and then wait for period then start the stims. I guess if you didnt ovulate then they can do something different.
When do you go in and when will you have results?
