Provera before Clomid

I didn't ovulate last month, and didn't get graced with AF, so the doctor gave me Provera to take for 7 days to start my period. Today is day 8... they said it could take up to 10 days after I take my last pill for my period to start. I'm so anxious because I will get to start my first round of Clomid, but I can't until I have a period. Anyone with this experience? How long did it take til you had a period after taking Provera?

Hey Maggie, It can take anytime between 2 and 14 days to get ur period after Provera..Typically 2-5 days is when u can expect after your last pill..Good luck

ok, i took provera too and it was more than 15 days before i got AF! It was ridiculous!!!

My doc also said you can get AF while you on on the provera or it can take up to 10 days after your last pill. What a long window of waiting!!! URG!

Yup CHelsea is right..IF there is not enough lining then theres nothing to shed inspite of provera and can take that long ughhh what a pain.

it really works...the first time AF didn't come down til day 11!!

I took provera for 10days straight and when AF came to town she almost killed me so be patient because my cramps were horrible.

Well... I started AF 5 days after my last pill of Provera now :) No cramping really... and its just a very light AF. Different than normal for me. Thanks for all of your advice.

Hey Maggie, yes it would be lighter than the usual one sometimes because its forcing the uterine lining to shed which wouldnt have developed like normal because no ovulation occured.
