Provera and no AF

I took provera for 10 days. I am 14 days past the last pill taken and still did not get AF. What could be the reason for this? What could be done to help me get it? When I told the nurse about this she said that she would have to see what the doctor says about it and I haven't heard back so I was just wondering what your thoughts on this were. Thanks!

hi ladies!!! well went to doc yesterday and nothing is maturing! he was a bit shocked and asked me if i have been taking the 100mg a day, and i hadnt, i had been taking 50!!!! my prescription said ONE tablet a day for 5 days (was ment to take 2). so pharmacy screwed it up, doc wanted there name and date i got it, he was angry. anyway, i am now on FSH 50m injections for 5 days, today is day 2 and i see him for another scan on the 4th day to see if anything happening this time, he said after this FSH round (if it doesnt work) he wants me to take the propper 100mg of clomid!!
so yeah i bit of a wasted week, but fingers crossed tuesday brings some good news!!!

hey ethie and flutter, thanx for your kind words. OK, to add yet another spinner to the works............. i got my period yeasteday at around 2pm!!!!!!! (first one in 6mths) so im guessing the provera did work but it just took 10 days for period to arrive! but now im on day 3 of injections to promote follicle growth and am in the middle of AF!!!! so bizzar, i wonder what the doc will do about this one! LOL. i do know that women get pergnant after a period, if they have short cycles but im just affraid that if i do indeed, get preg my endometrium wont be thick enough to sustain the pregnancy.

Hi!!! so the app was put back till 2moro morning coz doc said was no point doing ultrasound as follicles prob wont be doing anything during my period. 2moro is day 8 of taking the shots, but if it didnt count taking it with period 2moro is only day 2!! :0(
doc said he doesnt think much would have changed to follicles, but im hoping we see some sort of growth!!!!! the injections are so easy and hardley hurt at all, from what i have read the FSH shots seem to be one of the best methods to kick start ovulation. i hope he keeps me on them, if not i gotta take "propper" (100mg not 50) course of clomid, wich isnt a bad thing either i guess. anyway will update 2moro nite.

Wow see I wish my doc would do even half of that! She just puts me on clomid and sends me on my way. I have called her a few times about not getting AF yet and she is not returning my phone calls... I think she just doesn't know what to do with me. But there really isn't anything I can do about it now since I am leaving for vacation on saturday so I guess we will see how things play out. I heard the fsh shots are big in helping with ovulation. Well good luck and I have my fingers crossed for ya!!

ok, so went to doc this morn, not expecting much BUT turns out i have 8, yes...8, follicles due to be ovulated sunday or monday!!! and my left ovary has about 4, but they smaller.
I was strongley advised to not "try" 4 a baby this cycle as i have an extremley high chance of conceiving multiples!! im happy to not try!!!! last thing i want is to get preg with 4 babies and miscarry or suffer health problems.
im just over the moon that the meds DO work. when af arrives im going to take 100mg of clomid to see if that works also as it is not as potent as FSH injections. if not at least i know can always go back to FSH.

OMG 8!! Thats awesome! I guess that stuff really does work! lol Have you had a problem with ovulation before? I would def. be listening to the doc about not trying! I think 2 would be hard enough to carry especially since I am only 5' tall. I am very happy for you that the meds helped! Things are looking up!!
Thanks... we are in charleston, sc because my dh is in the military so we are taking a trip back to our hometown buffalo, ny for 2 weeks and spending some time up at Niagara falls for our anniversary!

Niagara Falls, that'd be beautiful!!! how long have you been together? i live up the top of Australia, in the tropics. it is amazing, no massive waterfalls but beaches to die for!!!
i only got PCOS after miscarriage last november, i also got diagnosed with underactive thyroid!! i have never had an issue with my cycle until then. was always 29 days, i got pregnant within 5 weeks of being off the pill.
why do you think my ov tests arnt showing up positive yet? the second line is so faint!!! hopefully i do ovulate!, i can feel constant ov pains for 2 days now.
My husband said we should tempt fait, just once, like BDing 2nite, but i just dont think its a good idea, tis hard to know you ovulating and cant BD!!!!! lol.

I am pretty sure I ovulated around may 19th because I was having cramping and loads of ewcm but if that is the case I would have gotten af around the 3rd of june and haven't even felt like its coming. in fact had a few signs of pregnancy... nausea, heartburn, foods i love can't even look at, and my bbs grew a cup size but I keep getting negatives.

hey!! yeah im on metformin 1000mg a day. have lost 6kg already and i didnt even have weight issue to start with. i go through stages of not eating, like losing appetite completley!!! tis crazy.
i rang the doc this morn coz since friday the ov pains have been quite painful, my nipples are so so sore and so much EWCM. but 2day symptoms have nearly gone, little to no ov pains, nipples still bit tender and EWCM is much less. the thing is i did ov test yesterday morn at 11am and it was so so close to positive, i only had one test left so used it 2day and the line is lighter than yestarday!! the doc said i would have ovulated yesterday and thats why synptoms are so much less now.
so no Bd till 2moro, have been waiting 6mths to ovulate and couldnt BD, but im fine with it. just gald the constant nagging, heavy pain in my right side (ovary with 8 follicles) has gone.
so after your holiday are you going to do clomid again?

Oh wow bless your heart! That pain must have been intense! Its crazy how that happens... you've been waiting to ovulate and then when you do you can't bd! So after af comes what is the doc going to do next for you?
I don't know if I am going to take it or not. I still have not had af. I called my doc and we are guessing ovulation happened on or around may 19th but all the hpts are still negative?! This is crazy! When I get back home from the vacation I'm going to go in for some tests.
