provera

May 24, 2008

hi everyone! :0)

i have read many other posts on this site regarding my question, but havent quite got the answere.

Taking provera, i have learnt that it may not trigger a bleed and this could be because the endometruim is to thin, and there is nothing to shed. but how would we be able to nourish the endometrium, hence bringing on a period with provera?

also wouldnt the specialist that does the internal ultrasounds be able to see in the endo is thick enough for provera to work?

i got tiny bit of spotting on day 7 of provera and i am now on the 3rd day off it, and i know it could take up to 2weeks but i just dont fell she is going to come.

Sorry, but another question. can i still take clomid without getting a bleed? that are the risks of doing so? i will ring my docs tuesday if AF hasnt arrived.

thankyou all in advance!!!

If the endometrium is noted to be thickened, then Provera should induce a bleed...nourishing the endometrium is not necessary if there's no dominant follicles and in this case, starting clomid without a bleed can be considered ok, but up to your docs opinion...
