Cheek, this sound weird but does your dh do it or do you? I found the pain less intense when I did it myself. Also, you are putting a fresh needle on it so its not dull right? I did read about a numbing agent that can be used, maybe ring your doc about it. Also, heating pads and massaging the lumps away helps...

Are you warming the oil first? That helps alot.

What gauge needle are you using also?

i used to put a damp hand towel in the microwave and wrap it around the oil to warm it up, it thins the oil so it goes in easier. and i also would use the towel to put on the spot where the shot was goin (i did them in the upper arm) and massaged the spot with the wet heat b4 and after the shot it definitely helped.

When i say it hurts its not when its going in its the after aftects i have lumps so when i go and give another injection it hurts i cant sit or lay on site. i went to re today they wanted to make sure it wasnt infected.I did not warm it before i will try warming it before and i will put a warm compress on it first and than after. but i cant take it. I will keep doing it because its for my baby. I just hope the next 4weeks go by fast that how long i have left.
