I am a 23yr old female who have had 2 miscarriges one at 20 weeks and the other at 18 weeks finally i went in to see the specalist because i have had an irregular period and have not been able to get pregnant since my last miscarrige, and my first day he gave me the progestrone pill to take so that my period would arrive and ask me to come back next week for more test to be done, i am done taking the pills that he prescribe and i was wonder how long does it usely take for your peroid to show up after your done taking the pills and what am i to expect on my next visit?

Your period should start anywhere between 3-14 days after your last pill (although it usually happens between 3-5 days). Your doc will run a whole slough of tests, from checking fertility hormones, antiphospholipid antibodies, possibly thrombophilias, different medical conditions, and I think most importantly, make sure your uterus is anatomically Ok, which can be done through surgical techniques or better yet, MRI...make sure your uterus is evaluated!

An X-ray will not give any insight into your uterus, I'm hopeful your doc just said this meaning MRI, but please make sure it's an MRI if you're not getting a surgical evaluation
