Progesterone symptoms and AF

Hi! Last year when I went to my OB for help with fertility, I asked him why after I O, do I get all the PG symptoms? I get nauseated, smells bother me and breasts hurt. He said that, at least, is a good sign, as it means I have a high level of progesterone. Which is needed to keep a pregnancy. Now that I have been monitoring my cycles and ovulation w BBT and fertility monitor, I have noticed these symptoma actually start 3-4 days BEFORE I O.

Today is CD16, my monitor says "low" and my temp has aonly gone up a bit, not enough to show I have O'd. My symptoms started 4 days ago.

Does this happen to anyone and does anyone know if this is indeed a good thing? It really sucks because I have all the feelings of being pregnant, but 2 weeks later AF shows up! I wouldn't mind at all to be sick if it led to being pregnant!

Thanks!

The LH hormone (the one that forces ovulation) is called a "sister" hormone to HCG so it would make sense that you would have some pg symptoms before ovulation if you are sensitive to that feeling. I understand what you are saying cuz i know everytime i have been preggo - all 6 times. I have never thought i was preggo when i was not and everytime i was i knew at 9 or 10DPO. I am very sensitive to the HCG so i "feel" it earlier than most people would.

I assume you have been preggo before and know what it truly feels like to be pregnant - cuz sometimes people think they feel preggo but actaully they are feeling the prog symptoms which are very much like pregnancy symptoms since the prog causes some of the pregnancy symptoms ;-)
