Progesterone shot question...

Ok, so I'm on progesterone shots til the 27th (at least). My poor butt is soo sore both sides that I have huge welts. My question is...with my muscles being that tight, is my body going to absorb the progesterone properly?

Yes, progesterone shots are HORRIBLE!!! They work as far as maintaining pregnancies, but they are miserable to use. I use Crinone vaginal progesterone gel with my IUI and IVF patients. This is a little messier, but you don't have the long term bruising and soreness that the progesterone shots cause...

Holy cow, really Chels! Gosh its funny b/c after this post..it got better and I started doing it myself even. I wasn't even that excited when they said you can stop them after my first beta. LOL :)

the shots get better. if you ice the area before the shot and then place a heating pad on it after the shot it doesn't hurt as much or as long. I think out of the ten shots, only two hurt and that was without the ice prior to the shot.
