progesterone inserts/suppositories

Yup, no worries!! Were you laying around relaxing today? When I used the crinone they recommended using it the am so that it can better absorb into the uterine wall as you walk around but if you are relaxing due to your retrieval it is probably a little more clumping. I had to use a liner every day. Totally normal, here is the site I used to look on often when I used it:

ps. You can also get some "build-up" inside you of some of it that doesn't absorb and if at any point you stop taking it, it can come out and be the size of a tampon. So don't be alarmed I kinda freaked out for a minute.

Agree with everything she said. Also, one thing that happened with me was I would get a little bit of pink when I wiped. Sometimes it can make you 'raw' so don't be alarmed if this happens. Otherwise, Jenstar covered everything I experienced!

I use them as well after my IUI's and always have leakage. I too have to wear liners. Thanks for the info on a possible "buildup"> I didn't know that could happen!! I probably would have freaked out if something the size of a tampon came out of me!!! LOL

Oh icky..so that is what I get to look forward to next wk from wk 16-37 of my preg (using it for premature delivery prevention). YUCK! So, what about bd?? Will it interfere with that?

Also what is the price on those? I'm curious on the cost difference compared to the shots..but I honestly don't know what I paid for the shots..lol.

I never had sex while on them because I was still in my 1st trimester.

As for cost, I have a $40 copay on brand drugs. In fact, I had to special order them after my first trip to the pharmacy because I believe it was cheaper for my insurance. Also, I found that pharmacy's in my area didn't carry it and had to order it. Hope this helps.

Yes Kelli- Amy is right, not sure about sex.. I would assume its just messy- But best to ask your Doc before "doing it"

My doc said BD was fine on the suppositories of progesterone, just obviously not right after putting one in. And it was like best to wait atleast 2 hours after using one to BD.

I dont know if we did much in the 1st trimester, I was too frantic, lol, but Im sure it would be quite messy!
