problems trying to concieve with strange symptoms

Since my boyfriend and I have been trying to concieve a baby, I have had periods that are exactly two weeks late, and when I get my period, the blood clots seem strangly large and some are almost flesh-colored! I have always had regular, normal flow periods until we tried to concieve. He has been told he has a low sperm count and has tried for years to get pregnant in a previous relationship and he says the symptoms I am experiencing are strangely familuar. The other woman experienced the exact same problems with missed periods and large blood clots. Could there be something more to our situation than just low sperm count. It seems his sperm is effecting the cycles of the women he ejectulates inside. Is there any advice you can give us and help us shed light on this strange problem we are facing? thank you!

The sperm itself if low should not affect your cycles unless you've been getting pregnant, so would recommend you check a pregnancy test as soon as you suspect your cycle is late. If you're trying to conceive, I would also recommend to purchase OPKs to figure out when you're actually ovulating, have timed intercourse, and await your period 14 days from ovulation...this is the best way of going about things and getting down to the bottom of the prolonged periods

Forgot to say, if his sperm count is too low, you may need an IUI if not IVF in order to get pregnant, and would recommend that you consult an RE for further information
