Kanetra, I tried to google this for you and the stupid oxford journal page won't open up but the little i can read on google says that intramuscular is better for "better bioavailability", but like i said, the website won't open for me.

check it later b/c it says that they're doing routine maintenance.

Both are more than Ok...since the intramuscular needle even intimidates me at times (Yikes!), I usually recommend subcutaneous injections..

Yikes! if it intimidates Dr. Q...??? I've gotten hcg shots in my hip/butt muscle, but it didn't hurt that bad, but then again, i don't look at the needle.

Kanetra, r u administering the shots yourself (or dh) or a nurse?

the intramuscular recommendation comes from the manufacturer, and as such, most docs follow...however, we know from off-label use (like many meds used out in the world) that subcutaneous works just as well..

The last time my DH came at me with a needle I locked myself in the bathroom. I will be doing it subcutaneously then.

LOL. Kanetra, you are so funny. See, i just don't think i could trust dh to do it b/c he wouldn't do it and i would get freaked and so would have to have a nurse do it.

You can do it though Kanetra! especially cause u did it before!!! Yay!
