It actually means absolutely nothing. A lot of my patients love to tell me all about their periods but it really does not mean anything medically. I really hate to burst any bubbles out their but it does not matter how much cramping is present, whether there are clots or not or whether it is light and stops in 3 days... all of that information does not tell me as a physician very much that I can diagnose a problem with. I doubt that you are pregnant, however, I would take a test to be sure. Bleeding in pregnancy can occur but I bet what is happening with you is that you may be starting to experience some egg quality issues. Reason I say this is because as the egg develops, granulosa cells around the egg secrete estrogen. It is this estrogen that builds the endometrium and makes it thick. If you are having very light periods then you may not be getting very much estrogen secretion during the follicular phase and that can be a reflection of egg quality. The best way to check egg quality is with a clomid challenge test. I would see a physician and have this done...
