Pregnant with PCOS
March 09, 2008
Hi Dr.Q,
I have another question for you. I was diagnosed with PCOS in August of 2007. The only signs of pcos that I have are polycystic ovaries by ultrasound along wih elevated testerone. I am currently 10w4d pregnant and am wondering if the elevated testerone will effect my pregnancy at all? I have been for 3 ultrasounds so far at 6w2d, 7w5d and 9w2d and we were able to see the heartbeat at all 3 ultrasounds. We have not heard the heartbeat yet because my fertility doctor didnt have the technology to hear the heartbeat at his office. I am going to see my new obgyn this week for my first prenatal appointment and I will be 11w1d and am praying they will try to hear the heartbeat. Just wondering if you have ever seen cases where elevated testerone has effected pregnancy at all. Thanks so much in advace Dr.Q and I really appreciate your help!
